Come to VSI's meetup on Sat 19th Jan and mark the opening of the Lurve café
Lurve is Dublin’s first vegan café, and will open it's doors to us on Saturday 19th January.
They will be offering us a set menu, which will be priced at €15. Members of The Vegetarian Society and Vegan Ireland will receive a discount in the form of vouchers.

This year, Dee (of Dee's Wholefoods, an Irish company, based in Cork) has organised Ireland's first National Vegetarian Week, in order to promote healthy eating and the consumption of vegetarian food in Ireland.

The Vegetarian Society of Ireland celebrated the 2012 Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale on Saturday 28th April 2012 in Exchange Dublin. Proceeds went to Dogs Aid animal sanctuary. Thanks to everyone who came along!
Would you like to help to organise World Vegetarian Day 2012?
The planning committee will include about 10 - 15 people who will meet monthly to organise this year's WVD event (provisionally set to take place on Sunday the 30th of September 2012). As the event draws near the meetings may be held more frequently. You do not need to attend every meeting, but simply as many as you can attend.
The next planning meeting will take place on Thursday, 21st June 2012 at 7pm in Dubin city centre.

ARAN (Animal Rights Action Network) will be hosting a march and rally against cruelty to animals on October 29th in Cork city centre. Meet at 1.30pm at Grand Parade Plaza.
Members of the Vegetarian Society of Ireland will be present to support the cause and we hope to see you there.

The Vegetarian Society of Ireland would like to invite you to our 2011 Annual General Meeting. Attending the AGM is an ideal time to find out more about the Society, get involved and meet fellow Vegetarian Society of Ireland members. This is a public meeting and non-members are welcome to attend.
