Learn how to cook using exotic Eastern techniques made simple. Curry, dahls, samosas and fancy rice dishes and many more. India is the country with the most vegetarians in the world, by a long way. You'll also pick up a little of the culture and history of Indian vegetarian cookery. The tutor, Syamananda is a Krishna monk who has been teaching cookery for 19 years. This weekend course is situated on the beautiful lake isle of Inis Rath, and there are also some free yoga classes, and additional optional aromatherapy massage may be booked at great value.

Hare Krishna monk Syamananda Das leads this cookery weekend along with Carmen McEvitt. You will have the opportunity to pick up some of the trade secrets of Govinda's Vegetarian Restaurants. Over the weekend you will explore a combination of Thai, Chinese and Indian cookery styles, covering many tasty preparations from the Far East.

Over a weekend you'll become more familiar with how to cook and spice the Eastern way - you'll cover curry, samosas, chapattis, chutney and many other tasty delicacies available in Indian restaurants. Learn how to cook exotic dishes of the Sub-continent, presented in a simple fashion. The Weekend includes morning (optional) yoga, relaxation and meditation. This fun course is for those who want to learn the secrets behind the delicious food served at the Clare Island retreat centre, and find out how to cook delicious healthy vegetarian food adapted to their own constitution and lifestyle. The day starts at 9 am with a 2 hours yoga session, followed by a healthy brunch. The afternoon starts with a discussion of food and diet, followed by cooking practice in the kitchen!
